Summer Days

Our summer picnic this year was hosted once again by Andy and Jane Tipler.

This summer’s weather has been insane, making outdoor events a bit chancy. We’ve had baking heat, wildfire smoke, and downpours intense enough to flood farms and towns. Lightning, downed trees, winds that destroy buildings. (RIP Lighthouse Point Carousel.) But Picnic Day was lovely. Warm and sunny, with low humidity. Perfect.

We had food. And homebrew. And commercial beers and ciders. Sully brought barbecue. Jaxson brought homemade mint ice cream, universally acknowledged to be just about the best ice cream we’d ever tasted. The Tiplers’ pool was put to good use by our youngest members. It was a good day.

No need to try to describe all the events. We have pictures, courtesy of Kim.

Huge thanks to the Tiplers for making this possible!
