The Underground Brewers will proudly host the next Southern New England Regional Homebrew Competition on October, 22 2023 at Armada Brewing in New Haven, CT.

That’s right. We’re back! Back to our usual autumn timeframe. Back to in-person judging. Back to a 400-entry limit. (Take that, COVID!)

The 2016 Southern New England Regional Homebrew Competition (SNERHC 2016) was held on October 23 at Two Roads Brewing in Stratford, CT, hosted by the Underground Brewers of CT and the Krausen Commandos of Northwest CT.

SNERHC was generously sponsored by Maltose Express, My Place Restaurant, and Two Roads Brewing.

SNERHC 2015 Results

SNERHC 2015 was an amazing success. The decision to co-host with the Krausen Commandos was the best ever. Despite a major change in guidelines and an inauspicious start (we were stranded outside until someone came to unlock the gate at Two Roads), we judged 400 entries — 40 more than last year — in 45 minutes LESS time. We were cleaned up and out the door by 6:30pm.

SNERHC Entries Nearing 300 Mark

UPDATE: As of Sept 17, we have 332 paid entries. Not much room left!!

With 5 days left in the registration period, we are currently just shy of 300 entries for SNERHC.

This is an outstanding turnout. Thank you all!
