We are targeting Sunday Nov 13th for the Beardsley Cider pressing day\, so we do not conflict with Cider Days occurring Nov 4-6th. \nPlease add your order  so they know how much to press. \nThe Underground Brewers will once again welcome Brew Haven for our annual cider pressing at Beardsley Orchard in Shelton.  This is a special pressing of cider apples which is absolutely amazing.  A sign up sheet will be sent out prior to let them know how many gallons to press.  You’ll have to supply you own carboys/containers. \nWe typically have tents setup outside for a tasting event – please bring your favorite ciders to share!

DESCRIPTION:This was a popular event in the past when members would congregate at some poor fool’s house and celebrate the ability to drink beer outside. There would also be food and perhaps some intellectual discourse – especially as the day wore on. \nWe’ve not had such a picnic for a while and this year Pierre Margraff has kindly stepped up and agreed to organize such an event for us. We will also be holding the annual club members’ homebrew competition at this event and hopefully someone else will be able to take the Darvon award off my hands (it needs cleaning). \nFurther details will be announced later but in the meantime keep this date free and consider you entry for the club competition ( which I would like to rename as the Darvon Competition in honor of our very popular late member). \n  \n
