DESCRIPTION:Join us at Steve Victor’s house in New Haven for our May meeting.  The rumors are true: this will be a joint UBC and Brew Haven club meeting.  We are going to start extra early at 6 pm and make this a potluck dinner. \nSteve says there will be plenty of seating and table space. There’s a covered porch and a roomy house in case of bad weather. It will be a tasting and talking meeting\, with no formal judging or scoring. SUMMARY:Artwalk Beer Garden
DESCRIPTION:BrewHaven will be promoting this year’s Artwalk Beer Garden to be held on Friday May 12 in the evening in the Westville “Central Patio” area. As many of you know\, this is a small\, neighborhood beer fest featuring homebrewers from BrewHaven and increasingly the Underground Brewers. It’s a great opportunity to showcase a brew (any style) and talk about it to mainly local residents. This is a charitable event which promotes the Westville Village Renaissance Alliance\, part of which is to help put on this festival\, sort of a circular zen thing. We are targeting Sunday Nov 13th for the Beardsley Cider pressing day\, so we do not conflict with Cider Days occurring Nov 4-6th. \nPlease add your order  so they know how much to press. \nThe Underground Brewers will once again welcome Brew Haven for our annual cider pressing at Beardsley Orchard in Shelton.  This is a special pressing of cider apples which is absolutely amazing.  A sign up sheet will be sent out prior to let them know how many gallons to press.  You’ll have to supply you own carboys/containers. \nWe typically have tents setup outside for a tasting event – please bring your favorite ciders to share!
