DESCRIPTION:The annual cider pressing at Beardsley Orchard in Shelton will take place on Sunday November 10 from 10 am -2 pm \nBeardsley will make a tank of his heirloom blend cider for us\, and he will try sweating the apples for a day before pressing. His tank holds just under 300 gals. It’s first come first serve from 10:00 am until it’s gone. \nPrice this year is $9.00/gallon with a 10% discount on over 11 gallons.\nIf you’re coming on Nov 10\, please bring cider to share with other club members and with Josh\, who is in charge pressing the cider at Beardsley’s. Dan Beardsley is very glad to have a bottle of your cider as well. \nThey will also hold a public sale of bulk juice on November 3rd for all those who may be interested.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in August for our annual club picnic at Matt Jordan in-laws’ house in Easton! \nSpouses/significant others encouraged\, as are kids (please let Matt know if you are bringing kids – he’s trying to make sure there are some activities planned). There is a pool as well that may be open – final call on that will be made in the days leading up to the picnic. \nAs always\, our picnic is a potluck\, with plenty of homebrew and commercial beers to share. Please coordinate food offerings on the Facebook event page (or contact Matt if you don’t use FB) so we don’t end up with 19 potato salads! \nNo need to bring anything else – just yourselves\, a good appetite\, and some food and drinks to share. \nNew brewer?
